Rockford PMX-HD9813 Features
The HD9813 radio is based on one of Rockford’s marine-grade digital media receivers. The radio features a full-color, 3-inch TFT display with day and night viewing modes. A large rotary volume control on the left side of the radio is easy to use, even when wearing gloves. Finally, the radio features Rockford’s Element Ready design. This specification means that the radio is weather resistant and the materials won’t chalk or fade when exposed to the UV rays from the sun.
In terms of audio features, the HD9813 has an AM/FM tuner and can be upgraded with SiriusXM satellite radio using the SXV300 tuner module. An integrated Bluetooth receiver allows you to wirelessly play music from your smartphone or portable media player. You can also stream music from Pandora, iHeartRadio, Google Play Music or Spotify.
A remote-mounted USB port will let you play MP3 and WMA digital audio files from a USB memory stick You can connect your iPhone and have full control over music playback while the battery is charged with up to 1.5 amps of current.
Audio Tuning and Motorcycle Integration
Because the Rockford PMX-HD9813 is designed specifically for Harleys, it includes a wire harness socket that is directly compatible with the factory harness plug to make the installation seamless and reliable. If you ever want to return the bike to its original condition, there will be no sign of it having been upgraded.
The HD9813 includes integration with handlebar-mounted audio controls to adjust volume, change sources and change tracks. Unlike in a car or truck, no additional interface is required to make these buttons work.
In terms of getting great sound, the Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD9813 includes a seven-band equalizer that we can use to personalize your listening experience. Built-in electronic crossovers allow us to limit the amount of bass sent to the speakers so you can crank the volume to 11!
