A client from Redwood City, California, brought his GMC Sierra 2500HD to California Car Sounds and Tint at the advice of one of our long-time customers. The client wanted to upgrade his factory-installed navigation to something more modern. We discussed what options the client was after and suggested that the Alpine Restyle X009-GM solution would be a perfect fit for his application.
With the client’s approval, we removed the factory radio and began integrating the X009-GM into the truck. We made sure that the factory backup camera, steering wheel audio controls and OnStar communication system were going to work with the new source unit. The Restyle kit includes a new dash trim piece that incorporates oversized control buttons that make using the radio easy, even when the driver is wearing work gloves.
The client loves the look of the massive 9-inch screen in the dash of the truck. He commented that the fit and finish of the new system was perfect. He was excited to have up-to-date mapping and a better-sounding audio system.
