A client from here in Campbell was referred to California Car Sounds and Tint by a friend. She was looking for a new radio and backup camera for her 2013 Nissan 370Z. We showed the client the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX with CarPlay and Android Auto, and demonstrated how we could mount a camera and have the image display automatically when she put the transmission in reverse. She liked the plan and gave us the go-ahead to schedule an appointment.
We started by integrating an iBeam camera into a small replaceable panel on the rear bumper. The wide field of vision of the camera provides a clean image of everything behind the vehicle.
Next, we wired up a PAC Audio SWI-RC factory steering wheel control interface to the Pioneer radio harness and the Nissan radio wire harness adapter. The SWI-RC allows the controls on the steering wheel to work with the new Pioneer radio.
The client was pleased with the fit and finish of the installation and loved that she would be able to see everything behind the vehicle when backing up.
