California Car Sounds Can Add Forward Collision Warning to Any Vehicle

January 13, 2019 By Staff Leave a Comment

Forward Collision WarningThe team at California Car Sounds and Tint in Campbell can add a forward collision warning system to almost any vehicle on the road. These systems use the same technology that is found in luxury vehicles like Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Tesla to let you know if you are at risk of crashing into someone or something. Let’s look at how these systems work and explain how they can prevent a serious accident.

What Does a Forward Collision Warning System Do?

Forward Collision WarningThe Mobileye ME630 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) we offer uses a combination of a carefully calibrated forward-facing camera and a state-of-the-art SeeQ2 image processor to let you know when you are following a vehicle too closely, approaching a vehicle too quickly or are at risk of colliding with an approaching pedestrian or cyclist. The system will also let you know if you are drifting out of your lane, even when the road ahead curves to one side or the other.

When the system senses imminent danger, a small display that we mount on your dash will illuminate with a warning icon as much as two seconds before a collision so you can apply the brakes and steer out of harm’s way. An audible alert in the form of high-pitched beeps is also provided to ensure that the system catches your attention.

In many vehicles, we can integrate automatic high-beam headlight control right into the Mobileye system. With no input from the driver, this feature will turn off your high beams when it senses an oncoming vehicle. Once the vehicle has passed, the high beams turn back on to light your way.

ADAS System Vehicle Compatibility

We can integrate solutions like the Mobileye ME630 into almost any passenger vehicle on the road. Once our team integrates the hardware into your vehicle, we complete a rigorous calibration and test process that ensures the camera system understands its position and geometry relative to the boundaries of your vehicle.

Our technicians each have thousands of hours of hands-on experience with all makes and models of vehicles. They know how to take them apart to mount components and run wires and cables without fear of potential damage to clips and fasteners. Even more importantly, they can put your car, truck or SUV back together flawlessly, so there won’t be any annoying buzzes or rattles once the work is done.

Modern Technology Makes Driving Safer

Whether your commute takes you across the city, up to San Jose, Palo Alto or Fremont, or you simply want the best safety solution possible for your next vacation, our forward collision warning systems are like having a personal copilot that never falls asleep or gets distracted.

For more information about our Advanced Driver Assistance Solutions like the Mobileye, our radar and camera-based blind spot monitoring systems and our parking sensor and backup camera systems, we invite you to drop by California Car Sounds and Tint in Campbell. One of our product specialists will work with you to design a solution that provides the information you want to drive safely. You are welcome to contact us by e-mail or by phone at 408-378-0409 to schedule a personal consultation with a member of our sales team.
