The factory radio on 2014 and newer Harley-Davidson Road King, Road Glide and Street Glide bikes has a pretty complete set of features. Where the system falls apart is its lack of power and mediocre speakers. We can upgrade these audio system with new amps and speakers using the ARC Audio PSM to integrate with the factory radio.
The PSM is a compact, water-resistant six-channel DSP that includes plugs for the factory speaker wiring. The preprogrammed settings in the PSM undo the equalization curve that is built into the Boom! radio so new speakers will sound great. A unique feature of the PSM is that we can connect one of the preset control wires to an ignition source to load a completely different configuration when the bike is running. Your system will sound great whether you’re parked at a sho, or cruising the interstate.
The Power of Digital Signal Processing
While the PSM is great at undoing the factory tuning, it also provides us with the tools to configure your new speakers for maximum performance. We can equalize each channel to provide smooth, detailed sound. The PSM will support component, front and rear speakers – and we can still add a subwoofer if you want your 2014 Harley-Davidson audio system to really rock!
