A client from San Jose stopped by California Car Sounds and Tint to inquire about updating the radio in his 2013 Nissan 370Z. He wanted a radio that included CarPlay and Android Auto so he could communicate safely while driving. We showed him the Pioneer AVIC-7201NEX navigation receiver and demonstrated how the smartphone integration worked with his phone.
He asked about adding a backup camera. The rear window of the 370Z is quite high off the ground, making it difficult to see what is behind the vehicle when backing up. The iSimple Mini Cam was a perfect fit for his car.
We installed the radio using a new dash kit and located the camera in a small removable panel of the bumper cover. If the client ever needs to remove the camera, that small part can be replaced easily.
We finished by showing the client how to use the radio and pair his phone with it. He loved the way the new Pioneer unit looks in the dash and was anxious to get on the road and listen to some music.
